Design Engineer, CAD Mechanical
Main Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the conception, creation, and application of complete layouts for motor control center applications
-Developing the CAD drawing for structural applications in Motor Control Centers using sound structural practices
-Develop original scale layouts using CAD tools and techniques for custom engineered orders, exercising independent judgment, and incorporating current manufacturing techniques to achieve cost effective solutions which meet customer’s needs
-Develop, in conjunction with the CAD Staff and other drafters, product standards and procedures to be maintained in the department library
-Manage all projects and changes effectively to meet project schedules
-Contribute ideas for innovation and continuous improvement on an ongoing basis -Develop CAD drawing standards, formats and methods, in conjunction with the CAD support staff, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing to increase productivity and conform to ISO9001 standards and procedures
-Actively participate in productivity improvements -Assume responsibility for contributing to annual cost reduction goals
Qualifications:
-Associate Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, selected CAD training will be a plus
-3-5 years of experience in mechanical design
-Experience in motor control applications
-Good knowledge of CAD/CAM design tools
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across all levels
-Result oriented, innovative and proactive
-Good Command in English
