      • The OMEGA™ precision variablearearotameters can measure flowsof air, water, and gases, with up to±2% FS accuracy and 0.25% FSrepeatability (models ending in "07" or "45" have ±5% FS accuracy).These units feature aneasy-to-read millimeter scale andcome with correlation charts for airand water. The scale is fused on the meteringtube in 1 mm (3/32") increments,which enables a user to read theflow rate with the highest accuracy.
      The scale design, in which a verticalline runs through the length of thescale and intersects the horizontalscale divisions, reduces parallaxand eye fatigue, thus ensuring highaccuracyreadings (see inset, nextpage). The front polycarbonate resin shield isalso curved to act as a magnifyingglass, which yields superiorperformance over other rotameterswith standard designs.
      Non-Rising Stem Needle Valve
      The 150 mm size flowmeters arealso available with a non-rising stemtype needle valve for specialapplications. This 15-turn meteringvalve has superior flow-rate control,and is particularly suited to use inchromatography applications. Thesliding tapered-needle mechanismvirtually eliminates sticking orbuildup due to foreign matter in thefluid stream, without variations orsaw-toothing of the flow rate.
      Shielded for Pressurized Systems
      These rotameters, with precisionboredborosilicate glass meteringtubes, are fully shielded againstbreakage. A white opaque rearshield provides a background to aidin discerning the float position.
      Panel Mounting Design
      These rotameters are equipped withhorizontal ports and NPT threads foreasy panel mounting. The portshave external threads and areequipped with panel retaining nuts.No additional mounting hardware isrequired. Simply drill 2 holes114 mm (4.500") apart (center tocenter) for 65 mm units, 224 mm(8.813") apart (center to center) for150 mm units. Each hole should be16 mm (5/8") in diameter.
