      • FP1400 Series flowmeters support various functionsincluding; two independently programmable flowtotalizers, user programmable low, high or range flowand temperature alarm, two sets of userprogrammable optically isolated outputs, selfdiagnostic alarm, and flow pulse output. The flow ratecan be displayed in 29 different volumetric or massflow engineering units. Flowmeter parameters andfunctions can be programmed locally via optional keypad and LCD or remotely via the RS232/RS485interface. Local 2 x 16 LCD readout with adjustablebacklight provides flow rate, temperature, total volumereading in currently selected engineering units,diagnostic events indication and feature a passwordprotected access to the process parameters to ensureagainst tampering or resetting.Liquid flowing through the unit causes the paddlewheelto spin. As the magnets embedded in the paddle spinpast the sensor, electrical pulses are produced inwhich frequency is proportional to the flow rate. Thenumber of pulses per desired time interval and the Kfactor(number of pulses/gal) make it is possible tocalculate the flow rate and volume passing through theunit. On board CPU and signal conditioner circuitryperform accurate flow and total computation, digitalcommunication and analog 0 to 5 Vdc or 4 to 20 mAoutput signals. Non-volatile memory stores allhardware specific and user programmable variables,including flow linearization table.
