Mobile X-Ray With CR Reading Technology
The first mobile x-ray unit with an integrated computed radiography (CR) reader was developed to meet the challenges of healthcare providers and to help facilities optimize workflow by enabling bedside imaging.
The integrated monitor provides high quality image display for first image review and image archiving at the patient’s bedside. Developed with high-imaging power for busy hospital environments, the system is suited for the most demanding mobile imaging tasks in the intensive care unit (ICU), neonatal, and pediatric departments, and surgery ward. Improved clinical workflow functions enable clinicians to perform basic image processing tasks (i.e., brightness, contrast, edge enhancement) directly on the system.
The Mobilett XP CR system, developed by Siemens Medical Solutions (Erlangen, Germany), was presented at the 92nd annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) from November 26 to December 1, 2006, in Chicago (IL, USA).
